Disable one or two records from a multi record block [message #168959]

I need to disable one or two records from a block of multi records. For this purpose, i tried to use SET_ITEM_INSTANCE_PROPERTY but it works out for Visual Attribute only. Further, I come to know that on PRE-RECORD trigger at block level, it can be achieved, but still it is not working properly.Would anyone help me?

What do you really mean by 'disable'? Set_Item_Instance_Property can turn 'insert', 'update', 'navigable',and 'required' 'on' and 'off'. I suggest that you do it in the Post-Query trigger, especially if you are changing visual attributes. You would also put the Set_Item_Instance_Property calls in any relevant When-Validate-Item and When-Validate-Record triggers.
