initalize value after clicking "insert record" [message #166468]

Hi,

I want to initialize a value after a user clicks on the "insert record" button on the toolbar in a particualr form to add to a excel worksheet-like format. I want the item box to initialize to a global variable already stored from a previous form.

Please advise...

Set complex default values in the WHEN-CREATE-RECORD trigger. You may want to set the record status back to 'NEW_STATUS' after the initialization is done.

Set simple default values with the Initial Value property.
