Hello There,

We have several bespoke forms that have been developed. We then apply them to the required environment. We can get to the application fine, however when we click on the form that's been deployed we are thrown out of Oracle Applications completely. The DBAs here have put a trace on this and it is a signal 11 problem.

The problem only appears in our production environment and is intermitten.

We have tried several scenarios with a view to pinpointing the problem however we have been unable to do this... The solution on this as always is to bounce the forms server. We don't need to do this in the other enviornments and can not understand why we have to do it here...

Have you come across this problem before and do you know why it's happening...??

Thanks in advance

Sandeep

Did you copy the FMX files from your development environment to your production environment? Are the environments different (like Windows development and Linux production)? If different, then you need to copy the FMB files to the new environment and compile and generate them on that environment.

Hi again,

The environments are similar and the .fmb file was used and compiled successfully.

Thanks

Do you have any PLL files that are attached to your 'bespoke' forms? If yes, did you accept the default Forms behaviour when you attached the PLL to your Form or did you press 'NO' (which you needed to do otherwise when you move the FMX to a different directory structure you get a failure).

David,

Thanks for your help with this. I sat down with our DBA and we went through alot of work - turns out we have 2 application servers that the form can work off. As a consequence there wasn't enough swap memory available when the form was opened - hence the issue.
