I've create a text field and set Courier New Font for this Text Box. It shows the font perfect when i run from Fomr Builder. But when i run this form in 3-tier architech then i found that the Java Applet is overwriting my fonts and showing some other font in place of Courier new Font. As a result all of my formatting alignment gest disturbed.

Does anybody has any solution for that problem.

Have a look at http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/132979/67467/?srch=formsweb#msg_132979. Review your formsweb.cfg - try different styles and see what happens.

My query is about the D2K Forms and the 3 tier architect using Oracle 9ias as application server.

Kindly revise your advice.

Please confirm that you are writing 6i Forms on a windows PC and running them via 9iAS on a Unix server.

Try using Courier font instead of Courier New.

Also confirm that you have not changed anything in either your local or AS formsweb.cfg files.

Dear David,

I'm using Form 6i and Application Server Oracle 9ias is on
Win 2000 Server.
I've attached a sample code for your review.
When you'll run this form from form builder you'll get the numeric figures in aligned manner for both the fields.
But when you'll attach this file to 3-tier and call this form the numeric values will not be aligned.

Kindly suggest.

I have looked at your 'test.fmb' and it looks good to me. Unfortunately, I DON'T have a 3-tier environment available to me so you are going to have to be my eyes.

I see that you have changed the font to 'courier'. Please answer the qustions from my previous post.

1) Please confirm that you are writing 6i Forms on a windows PC and running them via 9iAS on a Unix server.

2) Also confirm that you have not changed anything in either your local or AS formsweb.cfg files.

Also, do you get this 'bad' behaviour when running against the 9iDS on your PC?

Hvae look at the settings in your Internet Explorer. Go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab / Fonts. Does changing these settings make any difference?

I wouldn't have expected them to make any changes but it is just an idea.
